PDF stands for Portable Document Format. It is a universal file format that displays the fonts, images, graphics, and layout of a document, regardless of the application platform used to create it.
It ensures that a document on screen will look exactly the same when printed out. Downloading a document in this way saves time, money and resources, because there's no delay while you wait for the document to be posted to you do not need to print such large quantities of documents.
In order to view and print a PDF document, you will need to find the free PDF view on the Adobe website. Most computers come with free Adobe Reader ® software as standard.
